• The "Perfect" Map: GIF format
  

  Note that the map shows a 9 square "no-harm zone." This is due to the Graveyard at Larch and 50th. The Graveyard is a memorial to Pazuzu, but more accurately, to Steve, the real life player who used to control the vampire Pazuzu, but died of life-long heart problems. It is requested of all players that they not harm (bite, rob, scroll of turning, holy water) any vampire in the Graveyard itself, and preferably not in the 8 other squares where it is visible from. These areas are marked in black for the grave site and purple for the other squares.

• The Text Only Station Map: ASCII Map
  

  Just a simple, text-only map which helps you recall where the stations are located more quickly and easily than pulling up the full map. It should be viewed in a monospace font like Courier or Courier New so you don't have a weird looking map.

These help files are designed for the new player to understand, as completely as I can make it possible, all the various info and facets of the game. Read them in order and you ought to be exceptionally enabled to conquer the game as any powerfully armed vampire.

  Once you've read the above, you would do yourself a lot of help by reading the Powers Help as well. It is a help text meant to assist the newbie vampire to create a plan for gaining the powers in a logical fashion.

  The rules and guidelines we require members to adhere to in the Yahoo! group, the Freedom Trade Alliance. Available solely for the fact that I can refer people here when they bend or break them, being as I'm a mod there. Good advice for most boards, actually.

Freedom Trade Alliance (FTA)

My favourite Yahoo group. It is a non-RP, clan-blind board where players freely share information relating to the game like shop and guild locations, tips on game dynamics, help for newbies. Much of the material here I wrote originally for the FTA or was cribbed from texts some of the other people there wrote (I try to give credit where it's due).

 

Lost In Shadows

My favourite LiveJournal community. Much like the FTA in it's intent to share game info, but allows a little RP if you feel like it.

 

Temple of Golconda (Golconda)

Another Yahoo group, not only about game info and Role Play, but is meant for non-violent vampires. If you like to RP and don't want to get mixed up in the potential wars and fights of the RBB split-offs, this might be the place for you.

 

The Vamp-Underground (The Underground)

Surprise, a Yahoo group dedicated to the exchange of game-related information. I don't belong to this group so I have no idea if they care about clan affiliations or RPing.

 

The Abyss (RBB Sister site) (an advanced message board)

Suddenlaunch2 RBB was moved to this, more advanced board. Still acting as the natural progression of the disgusting Yahoo group RavenBlack-Blood (which I will not link to) into a more intelligent web-based message system. Meant for more advanced users, open to anyone, it is a major source of RP related materials as well as game information and discussions. I never bother going here, so I don't know if it's gotten as ugly on this board as it was on the Yahoo RBB, but I won't waste my online time checking to see. Use it or don't, I care not.

 

The Vampire News Network (VNN)

Much like an RP version of my own pages, this little site poses as a pseudo-newspaper sort of thing, providing information open to anyone about the various 'news' related to the major game RP of many sites, plus some basics of the game. Again, I haven't visited here in a while, so I have no idea what it's up to now. Not a group, though, so you can just browse about without having to sign in to anything.

 

RavenBlack Blood Awakening (RBBA or RBB Awakening)

Another derivative of the RBB Yahoo group, meant to be a more mature place for game discussions, just not as advanced of a message board system as The Abyss UK. I have never bothered going to this board, but it seems to be very popular to link to on many other boards, so here it is.

 

Roleplaying Vampires of RavenBlack City (RVRC).

And yet another Yahoo group. Not really sure what this is except that it came from the game FAQ where Raven Black has linked several groups. Apparently it's some kind of RP board where you can have some IC fun regarding the clan wars and such. If Raven is willing to link it, I suppose I am, too.
