Acquiring Gentleman's Victorian and Victorian Inspired Attire v2.7

by Doctor Elric Anatine

Last revised January 2009 L.E.

Following are a list of vendors selling either appropriately Victorian or Victorian inspired (usually costume or imbued with a "Gothic" or "Steampunk" theme) gentleman's clothing and accessories. While entire Goth or Steampunk ensembles may not be appropriate for everyone or in all scenarios, quite often select pieces may be combined with other pieces from various ensembles to create something both new and splendid.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, and vendors do change locations frequently. If a Landmark is sadly invalid, SEARCH for the vendor name to find their new location. I will verify Landmarks with every update to this notecard.

Personal tastes will vary, but I do try to provide quality suggestions as much as possible. Creators personally endorsed by myself will be denoted with (*). Unfortunately I do not have the time nor means to examine every clothier on the grid. I am grateful for the suggestions of others and will happily incorporate them into this notecard.

This list is ordered with most recent additions at the bottom of each category.

If you know of a vendor who should be on this list, please contact me, Elric Anatine, and I'll quite happily make that addition in the next revision of this notecard. Likewise, feel free to IM me any time for the latest version.

Some Landmarks do not transport you directly to the shop, but to a telehub instead. In order to be guided by the "red arrow", use the MAP to enter the precise destination coordinates and then Teleport.

Happy Shopping.

Thanks to JJ Drinkwater for providing the impetus to maintain this list sooner rather than later.

Deepest gratitude to Baron Klaus Wulfenbach for his wonderful input.

Much thanks to Muse Carmona for providing additional feedback.
